Using fine brushes, the paint is added to the small items that complete the scene of teapot ? the cakes on the Aga stove, the flat-caps of the removal men, or the duck?s beak.
Off to their second firing, the teapots look unimpressive. A layer of glaze is added, which will bring out a shine to the finished teapot. For now, it just looks dull. But lurking beneath is a palette of brilliant colours, waiting to develop during the second firing.
